It all started in 2020. At the time, Silni , a renowned painter and customizer, designed his own laces to enhance a series of Jordan 1s personalized in the colors of NBA teams .
By dipping and painting each lace himself to achieve vibrant gradients, he laid the foundation for Sweetlaces : a simple yet powerful vision — transforming a pair of sneakers with a colorful and unique detail .

Sweetlaces Project Design
A few weeks later, the idea took shape and became a real project. Silni worked night and day on the first prototypes of gradient laces , experimenting with different dyeing techniques and testing the results on several lengths.
