2020

It all starts with 6 custom AJ1s

It all started in 2020. At the time, Silni , a renowned painter and customizer, designed his own laces to enhance a series of Jordan 1s customized in the colors of NBA teams . By dipping and painting each lace himself to achieve vibrant gradients, he laid the foundation for Sweetlaces : a simple but powerful vision — transforming a pair of sneakers with a colorful and unique detail .

Janvier 2020

Sweetlaces Project Design

A few weeks later, the idea took shape and became a real project. Silni worked night and day on the first prototypes of gradient laces , experimenting with different dyeing techniques and testing the results on several lengths.

The goal is clear: to create a range of quality laces, inspired by his artistic universe, to give everyone a new way to personalize their sneakers easily and with style.

SHARE THE LOVE

Their friendship has strengthened over the years and Samuel joined the Sweetlaces project at its launch in October 2022, the beginnings of a much larger project still in development: their joint brand of clothing, accessories and furniture called Workbrand .

Their collaboration shows that when creative and visionary minds come together, the possibilities are endless.
